Rajasthan News: A youth was thrashed in police custody at Laxmangarh police station in Sikar district of Rajasthan and asked to hold a penal meeting, after which his health deteriorated. In this regard, the relatives of the victim Vijender Kumar have given a (complaint) memorandum to the Sikar District Superintendent of Police. The District Superintendent of Police has ordered to get the matter investigated by an officer of the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police.
In the complaint given by the victim’s mother Shubhita to the Superintendent of Police, it has been alleged that her son Vijender Kumar and his friend Sandeep Singh were getting their vehicle repaired in Laxmangarh. He told that on the evening of September 9 at around 5:00 pm, the policemen of Laxmangarh police station beat him up and took him to the police station.
‘Was beaten up and asked to hold 500 penalty meetings’
He said in the complaint that both were abused, beaten up and asked to hold 500 penalty meetings, but after holding 300 punishment meetings, Kumar’s health deteriorated and he was then asked to become a ‘rooster’. Shubhita told that later the police started beating her and she fainted. Thereafter, both of them were arrested on 11 September under section 151 (breach of peace) of the Indian Penal Code and released on bail the next day.

The accused is undergoing kidney dialysis since September 15
Kumar was taken to the doctor. The doctor sent Kumar to the government hospital in Sikar on September 15. The victim youth is currently under treatment in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Sawai Mansingh Hospital, Jaipur. Sikar Superintendent of Police Kunwar Rashtradeep said that the accused is undergoing kidney dialysis since September 15. He said that the doctors did not mention any injury in their report. He was arrested by the police on September 11 and released on bail the next day.
“We are getting the allegations leveled by the family members investigated by a senior officer,” he said. Demanding action against the guilty police officers, the victim’s mother alleged that her son’s condition had become critical due to police harassment and thrashing. The police had arrested both of them for disturbing the peace and threatening people.
