Hassan Ali: The career career of Pakistan’s deadly fast bowler Hasan Ali has completely changed since the 2021 T20 World Cup. At one time, Hasan, who used to take care of the responsibility of fast bowling for Pakistan, is no longer even selected in any team of his own country. Now the England team is about to tour Pakistan for the Test series, but before that Hasan was once again not selected in the team. After which Hasan has now decided to play with another team.

Hasan Ali’s big decision

Hasan Ali has been called up to English county side Warwickshire Arsenal for next season after being left out of the Test squad for the home series against England. Ali is Warwickshire’s first overseas signing for 2023 and has agreed a deal which will see him play the full Vitality Blast campaign until the end of July, including any possible knockout games and the LV Insurance County Championships.

Ali has shown his performance in T20 teams across the world. He has played 131 international matches and has taken nearly 200 T20 wickets for teams including Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and St Kitts & Nevis Patriots in the Caribbean Super League (CSL). Ali made his English debut last season for Lancashire, where he achieved hero status during a brief red-ball contract. He was the leading wicket-taker in Division One of the County Championship after four weeks, taking 25 wickets in five matches at an average of 20.60.

waiting to join the team

Hasan Ali said he has fond memories of playing at Edgbaston and is looking forward to rejoining the team. “I am delighted to have signed for Warwickshire as they are an ambitious club and Edgbaston is a ground where I have always enjoyed playing,” Ali was quoted as saying on the Warwickshire County Cricket Club (WCCC) website. “I hope I can help the team with my experience and contribute to some wins, maybe even a trophy,” he added.

Ali made his Pakistan debut in 2016 before making a mark on the global stage in his first major tournament – the 2017 Champions Trophy. He was the leading wicket-taker in the Champions Trophy with 13 wickets at an average of 14.69 and was named Player of the Tournament.
