BJP accuses Manish Sisodia and 35 others of hiding evidence in excise scam case

    BJP has accused Manish Sisodia and 35 others of hiding evidence in the Delhi Excise scam case. The BJP on Thursday alleged that Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and 35 others, who are being probed in connection with the excise policy scam, destroyed 170 mobile phones to hide evidence. BJP spokesperson Gaurav Bhatia claimed that Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s personal assistant changed four handsets in a short span of time.

    “Manish Sisodia changed four mobile numbers and 16 handsets,” Bhatia said at a press conference. He alleged that minister Kailash Gehlot also changed three handsets and Aam Aadmi Party’s (AAP) communication in-charge Vijay Nair seven handsets. Bhatia said, “Thirty-six accused in the case destroyed 170 phones worth Rs 1.5 crore.

    Attack on Kejriwal

    Describing Kejriwal as a staunchly corrupt person who has given certificate of staunch honesty, he wanted to know from the people what is the purpose? It is alleged that the Delhi government’s policy of granting licenses to liquor traders was allegedly influenced in favor of some dealers who paid bribes for the same. AAP had strongly denied the allegation.
