The Pakistan cricket team may be boasting of producing many promising cricketers but the way they have been performing at home in the year 2022 is disappointing. The Pakistani team led by Babar Azam has lost its third series at home in the year 2022, out of which two Test series are included. Talking about the current series, England defeated Pakistan in the first two matches of the three-match series on their own soil and also captured the series. England registered their Test series win in Pakistan after 22 years.
On the other hand, this is the third series defeat of the Pakistani team this year, mixing all formats at home. Earlier in the beginning of the year, Australia defeated Pakistan 1-0. Then England defeated Babar’s team 4-3 in the seven-match T20 series. Now the England Test team under the captaincy of Ben Stokes has also made an unbeatable 2-0 lead by defeating Pakistan in the current series. Apart from these three, when the Australian team came on Pakistan tour, the home team was also thrashed by the kangaroos in the only T20 International. That is, in the year 2022, this record of Pakistan at home is proving them to be a failure.

Pakistan out of WTC final race too
England defeated Pakistan by 26 runs on the fourth day of the second match of the three-Test series. Although there is one more match left in the series, England have taken an unassailable 2-0 lead. With this defeat, the Pakistani team’s path to the final of the ICC World Test Championship (WTC) has also been closed. If we look at the points table of WTC, the Pakistani team which was at number four till this morning, has now slipped to number five after this defeat.
With this defeat of Pakistan, the path of the Indian cricket team has become a bit easier. However, Team India will have to win all their remaining matches as well as avoid defeat. The Indian team is currently at the fourth position with a score of 52.08 per cent while Australia is at the top with a score of 75 per cent. On the other hand, South Africa is in second place with 60 percent marks and Sri Lanka is in third place with 64 percent marks. The Indian team had finished runner up in the first edition and would have to win all the remaining matches to reach the final for the second time in a row.
