Bhairon Singh Rathore, the hero of the India-Pakistan war, has passed away in Jodhpur. Bhairon Singh retired from BSF in 1987 and was admitted to Jodhpur AIIMS due to chest pain and fever. Sepoy Bhairon is a 1971 war veteran who was posted at Longewala during that time and showed extraordinary bravery. Bhairon Singh was awarded the Sena Medal. Condoling Bhairon’s death, the BSF said, “BSF salutes his courage and devotion to duty. The Prahari family stands by his family in this difficult time.”

Sepoy Rathore’s son Sawai Singh had told PTI that his father was admitted to the All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Jodhpur on December 14, two days before the 51st anniversary of the war, after his health deteriorated and he was left paralyzed. influenced by The Singh family lives in Solankiatala village, about 120 km from Jodhpur.
