Actually, Mamta Banerjee’s TMC government had banned the release of the film on May 8, claiming that the release of the film could lead to communal riots in the state, after which the matter reached the court and now the ban on the film was lifted. The film’s producer Vipul Amritlal Shah had also demanded Mamta Banerjee to release the film.

By the way, the film is not being shown in most of the theaters in West Bengal. At the same time, the film has been released on May 20 in a cinema hall in Bangaon town of North 24 Parganas district near the India-Bangladesh border. Along with this, a disclaimer is also being run, in which it is written that the film is fictional. An office-bearer of EIMPA, the apex body of cinema house owners and distributors of the eastern region, informed ‘PTI-Bhasha’ that Sri Rama Cinema Hall located on Ramnagar ropeway in Bangaon, about 75 km from Kolkata, has been screened. At the same time, he said that he is not aware of the release of the film in the rest of the theatres.
The film earned more than 200 crores
